Description
Once he had crested the hill, which dropped off into a steep fall, he sat on his haunches. He gazed into the night sky, empty orbs glistening in the moonlight. He abruptly reached upwards with his front paws, as though trying to grasp the stars, manacles gleaming. He let out an agonized howl, screaming desperately.
"PLEASE TELL ME!" He cried. "What am I?! Am I an abomination? If you created all, as the humans say, then why did you create me?! Why would you allow me to suffer like this?! You, this... 'God'... Why do you allow other bengs to torment me for not being like them? Why do I exist?!" He panted, lungs burned by the crisp air as he awaited an answer.
When none came, his arms slowly lowered, head dropping onto his chest, chin scraping against his ribs. Would he never know?
